The Great Southern’s annual showcase of its fabulous food, produce and wines was held this year from the 25th February to the 7th March 2012.

The 2012 Taste Great Southern Festival was bigger and better than previous years – ten exciting days of produce tasting, markets, wine tastings, master classes, long table lunches, picnics, film festivals, and music events.

With events such as long table lunches, cooking master classes with renowned chefs, regional and themed gastronomic dinners and family-oriented events and picnics, the Festival delighted those who appreciate good quality food and the traditions associated with food preparation. This year we were pleased to host three celebrity chefs - Vincenzo Velletri, Jean Daniel Ichallalene, and Vince Garreffa. Special guest, Verity James, was in attendance at a number of events.

In addition to the spectacular Taste Denmark, this year’s event featured two long-term favourites - the Porongurup Wine and Food Festival and the Mt Barker Graze – and a new addition – the inaugural Go Taste Albany Festival.
